Late 18th/early 19th century, the inverted breakfront mantel above ogee and stepped edging mouldings to a fluted frieze, with central lapis lazuli tablet bearing an applied relief carved marble figural panel depicting cavorting amorini in a roundel, within a drape hung from serpent entwined uprights, flanked by jambs with flower heads above recessed panels of trailed bellflowers, on block feet, approximately 187cm wide x 148cm high x 30cm deep
