the interior decorated with an eagle battling a serpent in a tree, the exterior with concentric band decoration alternating in red and gilt, signed "C.P" in gilt to the underside, probably on a Carter's commercial blank, 22cm diameter
some minor imperfections to the glaze visible on the outside edge of the top rim and one within the upper red band to the exterior, crazing visible, otherwise the piece appears to be in good order with no obvious signs of damage or restoration
