The solid splat of this interesting chair slots into place and is secured under the seat by two pegs (which are absent). The splat has been screwed into position half-way along its length, with the screws fastening into the supporting U shape back. The supporting back has nailed repairs. The seat has some wood worm damage and the back is loose. One of the spindle turnings to back has a glue repair evident to underside of seat.
