A DUTCH WALNUT AND MARQUETRY CHEST OF DRAWERS

19th century, the top inlaid with a central urn of flowers amongst scrolling foliage, with four drawers between canted and fluted corners, on tapered front legs, 84cm high x 95cm wide x 49cm deep

There are surface marks and scratches appropriate to age and use that do not detract from its good honest appearance. There are small damages and repairs to the marquetry top. There are chips and losses apparent, notably to the corners. The locks and handles are replaced. There is a split to the left hand side. There are old splits to the back. There is a notable scratch to the facade of the bottom drawer. Small splits apparent to the veneer on the right hand side. There are a few further small splits and losses to the veneer. Structurally good.
