Frank, Ernest and
Albert were brothers, all born in Cowley St, Oxford. Each was a clerk in the
legal profession.
Albert Henry was
the youngest and first to enlist; he joined the Northamptonshire Regiment,
serving in the 1st Bn. He landed in France on the 7th of July 1915. He would
fall on the first day of the Battle Loos on the 25th of September 1915. He is
remembered on the Loos Memorial.
Ernest served in
the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and later the Essex regiment. He survived the
war, as did Frank, who served with the Royal Army Medical Corps.
