early 20th century, the top and the front both decorated with neoclassical scenes of maidens and cherubs, the hinged lid opens to a vacant interior, the stand with tapered legs to spade feet, 80cm high x 92cm wide x 49cm deep

This chest has two deep scratches to the top and there is also water damage to the back edge of top.

The top panel itself (the lid is formed of a frame with a panel fixed to top) appears to have been reglued. 

The lid does not close flush relative the the front of the chest.

The decoration to front is in good overall condition.

The sides are plain.

There is scuffing and minor wear to stand
