Nicolas de Larmessin II was a seventeenth-century artist and engraver. The son of a bookseller, he hailed from an artistic family and may have been employed by his older brother and sister-in-law. Throughout his career, de Larmessin II conceived numerous “grotesque costumes,” possibly made at the behest of French engraver, Francois Jollain.
