William Crampton Gore was an Irish artist, who befriended Augustus John whilst studying at the Slade from 1900-1904. The two artists shared a studio.

Ursula Tyrwhitt (nee Nettleship) (1872-1966) was an English artist and close friend of Augustus John and his sister Gwen. Ursula is the subject of a 1903 etching by Augustus and held by the National Portrait Gallery, London. Augustus John also made a chalk drawing of her with Gwen John and her sister (and the first wife of Augustus) Ida Nettleship, which is held by the Yale Center for British Art in the Paul Mellon Collection.
