A PAIR OF CHINESE POTTERY GUARDIAN FIGURES

Tang, each modelled seated on its haunches with well-modelled features and extensive traces of polychrome decoration, the larger 46cm high and the smaller 44cm high (2)

Provenance: The family of the late John Walden (born 1926), a noted collector and member of the OCS from the early 1950's.

With an Oxford Authentication Certificate (TL Testing Sample C123h30) dated June 2023 stating that "the sample yielded a result consistent with manufacture during the Tang Dynasty.
