The bangle is in fairly good condition, there are no obvious signs of significant damage or repair, the bangle does not appear to be misshapen. All stones are present, the emeralds display chipping and some surface reaching inclusions, the diamonds display some nibbling and are flinty in colour. It is possible that some stones (in particular the diamonds) may be later replacements - all stones would benefit from cleaning. The hinge functions well, however the threads of the locking pin are not full engaging, so a secure closure cannot be guaranteed - a safety chain has been attached. Due to the nature of the piece an exact date is difficult to confidently assess, however we estimate the bangle to date to the early part of the C20th.
All stones measured in setting so weights are approximate and condition reports are offered as a guide only.
Unfortunately we have been unable to test the metal.
