A FINE CARVED JADEITE PENDANT

the untreated certified jadeite carved as a dog standing on a diamond-set and princess-cut sapphire base, the whole mounted in unmarked white metal, circa 3.5cm long, and suspended on a white metal trace link chain interspersed with pearls, circa 44cm long

This lot is accompanied by a Gem and Pearl Laboratory Report no. 06941 stating the carved jadeite to be natural jadeite jade with no evidence of treatment.

I have a question

This pendant and chain weighs 12 grams gross weight. 

A Gem and Pearl Laboratory report No. 06941, 3rd January 2013, confirm the jade to be genuine. 

There is glue between upper back of jade and metal mount.

We are unable to test the white metal. 

The rear of case features two screws, so that you can open the case and remove the jade. These screws are missing their nuts or fasteners.
