Estimate: £600 - £1,000
Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.

The ring is in fairly good condition, though does display some areas of wear commensurate with age and use. There is some thinning to the galleries, particularly around the shoulder (one shoulder display fairly significant wear and has likely been repaired). There is some evidence of resizing to the band in places and sizing balls have been added to the interior. All stones are present. The diamonds appear to be free from significant chipping and wear, it is possible that some stones are later replacements (cuts and colours are fairly mixed). There is some surface abrasion and slight nibbling to the rubies in places with one small stone displaying a chip, it is likely that one or two of the stones are later replacements. The principal ruby displays some slight abrasion at the edge of the table and upper facets, though is of good colour and appears to be securely set in its cut down collet. The principal diamond is free from obvious nibbling/chipping and appears to be securely set in its cut down collet. The principal ruby measures approximately 5x4x2mm, the principal diamond measures approximately 5x4x2mm (as setting allows). The ring head measures approximately 1.5x0.9cm.
