The brooch is in good condition. There is no evidence of repair work, nor replacement stones. The diamonds appear free from chips and nibbles, and seem securely set. The stones face up fairly white, though have a slight flinty appearance, and are bright and lively. There are some inclusions throughout the stones, but the majority are fairly clean with some appearing to be inclusion free. The clasp is fully functioning and secure, whilst the pin and hinge remain stable and stiff. The brooch has a gross weight of c. 4.1g.

The case is in good, presentable condition with very little wear to the leather covering, velvet and silk. The hinge and catch remain functional.
