A DEHUA BLANC DE CHINE TEAPOT AND COVER
Kangxi, late 17th century, of octagonal form, each side moulded in relief with a flowering prunus spray, later silver cylindrical tapering spout, the cover with flower spray finial and with formal branch handle, 15cm high
Provenance: Bt. Woolley & Wallis, 18th November 2015 lot 607.
These teapots were produced in a large variety of different shapes. This octagonal example appears to be recorded by Ayers in the Royal Collection no. 88.
