circa 1880, probably Madras, the rectangular top with a moulded edge over a frieze of five drawers, on slender turned baluster legs with galleried shelves to the pedestals, 137cm wide and 77cm deep

The idiosyncratic design of this desk combined with a provenance linking it to William Morgan may indicate a colonial origin.

In good overall condition. There is some wear and surface marks consistent with age and use. There is small areas of splitting to the tops of the sides. There is some rubbing to the painted decoration. otherwise it is in very good overall condition with original handles (please see additional images)
