circa 1718, applied with sprays of flowering roses, enriched in tones of puce, iron red, sea green, and brown and painted in Holland with small oriental birds and insects in flight, applied at either side with flattened silver shaped handles, 18cm diameter excluding handles

This very early Meissen piece has restoration in the lid where it has been re-glued from three parts, it is very well hidden to the naked eye. There is a smaller area of restoration to the body where a piece has been broken from the rim and professionally resorted. there are small losses to the foliate relief (please see addiitonal images)
