A MEISSEN ORMOLU MOUNTED BOWL,

with three quatrefoil panels painted in the Kakiemon style with flowering branches on a turquoise ground, the ormolu base pierced, the border and handles cast and chased with scrolling foliage and wave ornament, with blue crossed swords and black incised “N=196W” marks for the Palace, the ormolu possibly German 18th/19th century, 22cm wide

All of the metal mounts appear in good overall condition. One of the handles has shifted out of position and needs re-screwing. The body has been restored after breaking into several pieces; the lid appears un-restored (please see additional images)
