There is minimal surface wear and scratching to the gold, but no obvious signs of significant repair or resizing work. There is minor wear to the setting with some of the outer claws holding the diamonds being substantially worn and possibly requiring attention. The claws holding the sapphire are all present and do not appear to be badly worn. All diamonds are present and appear to be free from nibbling to the facets, tables and girdles. The sapphire displays some signs of abrasion and nibbling along the facets and edge of the table. The band is rounded and is crisply hallmarked '750', London, 1960.
