by John Shaw, Birmingham 1818, of plain design, the flush fitting lid opening to reveal gilt interior, the base formerly containing a musical movement, 2.3cm high x 7.5cm wide x 4.5cm deep; sold together with an early Victorian silver snuff box by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1840, the basket weave engraved body with reeded sides and cast thumb piece, 1.5cm high x 8.5cm wide x 5.5cm deep, combined weight 4.9 tr. ozs
