The Medal was created on 21 October 1923 to mark the first anniversary of the Fascist March on Rome of 28 October and Mussolini’s assumption of power three days later. Three versions of the medal exist; the most frequently found is the unsigned version by Stefano Johnson of Milan. The version by Lorioli and Castelli is much rarer and that by Lorioli

Italy. Commemorative Medal for the Campaign ‘Italy Now and Always’ (Medaglia Commemorativa della Campagna ‘Per l’Italia Ora e Sempre’), 1923
The Medal was created in 1923 on the first anniversary of the March on Rome and awarded to those who had participated in the Fascist rise to power from the formation of the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento (Italian Fighting League) by Benito Mussolini on 23 February 1919 to the Marcia su Roma (March on Rome) of 28 October 1922 and Mussolini’s assumption of power in Italy three days later.
Italy. Medal for the National Gathering of Bersaglieri (Medaglia dell’Adunata Nazionale Bersaglieri), Bologna 1931
The Medal was produced to mark the eighth National Meeting of the Bersaglieri in Bologna on 28-29 June 1931. The Bersaglieri (sharpshooters) were highly mobile light infantry, created by General Alessandro La Marmora on 18 June 1836 as part of the Royal Sardinian Army which later became the Royal Italian Army. They are instantly recognisable by their wide-brimmed hats decorated with black capercaillie feathers.
