Richard J W Hallett resided in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. During the Second World War, he served on HMS Beagle, a B-Class destroyer which took part in the Russian Convoys between 1942 and 1944.

William Henry Hallett was born in Portsmouth on the 1st of June 1883. He joined the Royal Navy on the 1st of June 1901.

He served as a Leading Boatman in the Coast Guard during the Great War. he was based in Shoeburyness and Lowestoft. 

The medals are his full entitlement.
