A CUTLERY SET THAT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BELONGED TO ADOLF HITLER

a knife, fork, serving spoon and teaspoon, each piece is silver and maker-marked Krupp Berndorf and engraved 'A H', in a fitted case embossed inside on the material Art Krupp Berndorf, circa 1930's/40's

The set was owned by antique dealer David Corcoran, who acquired the set from a friend Willie Cohen. Willie was born in Paris, the son of German Jews. He served in the British Army as an interpreter, first meeting David in Military Prison.

David was serving 15 days for swearing at an officer, and Willie was serving a sentence for being AWOL due to a woman.

Willie picked up the cutlery set up after his release claiming it belonged to Adolf Hitler. He held onto it for 30 years before gifting it to David when he moved from England back to Germany.


Some surface marks and scratches to the blades and the scabbards. In fair condition for age and wear.
