Fenton George Hort was born on the 1st of May 1896, the son of Sir Arthur Fenton Hort, 6th Bt. and Helen Frances Bell. He was educated at Harrow School and, after the war, graduated from Cambridge University.
During the Great War, he served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers arriving in France on the 21st of March 1917.
In 1935, he became the 7th Baronet Hort, of Castle Strange, Middlesex, upon the death of his father.
Fenton passed away in 1960.
