possibly 18th Century, decorated with panels of flowers within brown rim, 3.5cm high x 29cm diameter, together with two pairs of Chinese blue and white porcelain dishes, each decorated with dignitary and attendants, 22cm and 15.5cm diameter respectively, the smaller pair with Artemesia leaf bases (5)

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.

The larger dish has a hairline crack, wear to edges and foot rim.

The larger pair of dishes have lobed bodies. Both are fritted to the rim, one has hair line cracks, and one is broken and reglued.

The smaller pair has one dish with chipped rim and one broken and reglued.
