A SET OF SIX EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH POTTERY PLATES

decorated in the Imari palette each with a vase of flowers within profusely gilded borders, each 24cm diameter and ten other pieces of early 19th Century Imari pottery (16)

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.

The six plates are largely OK. There is one with a large chip. Others have very small chips/fritting to the edges. Slight ware to decoration and gilding. 

All the cups are cracked.

There are damages and restorations to two further plate, there is a chip to the rim of another plate, a large chip to one saucer.
