AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY COALPORT PART TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE

decorated in the Imari palette with flowers, comprising teapot, milk jug, sucriere, six tea cups, six saucers three coffee cans and a plate (19 pieces)

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.

Teapot is chipped to rim, interior rim and finial. The sucrier has wear to the gilding and a chip to the finial. One of the saucers is broken and stapled, one is chipped and cracked, another has hairline cracks. Three of the tea cups are cracked and one of the coffee cans. Consistent wear to the gilding and decoration throughout. Numerous damages.
