AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH POTTERY TEA SERVICE

possibly Newhall, richly enamelled with floral sprays within gilded blue borders, comprising four tea cups, three coffee cups, nine saucers, milk jug, bowl and plate, painted shape no. N669 to undersides (19 pieces)

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.

One coffee cup with a chip resulting in a hairline crack, one teacup with a repaired chip to the rim, another two cups with a hairline crack to the rims, 

Two saucers with a small hairline crack to the rim, one with a repaired break. 

The jug is damaged and repaired, staple repairs also. The slop bowl has hairline cracks to the rim. The plate has a small chip and resulting crack, as well as hairlines visible to the base.
