A MATCHED PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER OVAL SALTS

London 1807 and 1812, of reeded pail form, each 5cm high x 8.5cm wide x 6cm deep, 6 tr. ozs combined, engraved with matching eagle crests, one with blue glass liner, together with two salt spoons

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.

Both salts have worn hallmarks and the makers marks are indistinct.

Both are slightly misshapen and dented.

The armorials are worn. 

The spoons are 18th century silver but the hallmarks are very worn
