These earrings have later soldered hooks. The metal is gilt metal, not gold. Quartz are foiled pink. Foiling has degraded in places, with some areas more significant than others.

The degradation of the foiling is more noticeable behind the top stone of each earring. There is evidence of discolouration to the metal in places, but no obvious significant losses. The top and bottom sections of the earrings are a marriage. The earrings have a gross weight of circa 10.5g.
