The ring is in fairly good condition for its age, though there is some associated wear evident. All pearls are present (one or two may be replacements), the majority having fairly good lustre with the shoulder set examples showing wear (one or two are significantly worn). The pearls are mainly cream in colour, though some (predominantly the pearls set in the shoulders) have a grey/silver hue. The crystal locket front is present and the bezel setting appears free from obvious splitting, there is dirt evident behind the crystal but the plaited hair remains in place. The repousse/carved work in the band remains crisp, there is one area at the base of the band that displays some discolouration/ colour variation that may be from repair or resizing work. The ring has a gross weight of circa 3.8g.
