the cast silver ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ figures and plaques by Saunders, Shepherd & Co, London 1937, each bookend 12cm high x 11.5cm wide x 9cm deep

Provenance: Estate of John Rollo Somerset-Paddon deceased, late of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent. The engraved initials ‘P.P’ probably relate to Peter Paddon who was a Rolls Royce agent.

One of these bookends has a broken and repaired back and both are slightly loose to Ecstasy figures. There is slight chipping to corners.

The silver elements are in good condition and each (two figures and two plaques) are hallmarked.
