in the manner of Sevres, the friezes decorated with Chinoiserie roundels of children and with eagle handles, comprising coffee pot, hot water jug, milk jug, sucriere, bowl, twelve coffee cans and fifteen saucers, the coffee pot 29cm high (32)

Provenance: The Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.
By repute, purchased at the auction of the possessions of Empress Eugenie, who died at Frogmore in 1920.

This service has extensive damage throughout and viewing and/or detailed photographs before sale are strongly recommended. 

Damages include: numerous cups have replaced damaged/handles, chips to the saucers throughout, a stapled repair to the jug, the teapot lacking cover, a repaired finial to the sucrier, and a handle restored to the coffee pot and the finial replaced.
