Note: Charles Dibdin (1745-1814) was the author of many popular patriotic sea songs during the early Napoleonic Wars. Kitchener was a great admirer and thus produced the present work. This copy has the bookplate of E.H. Baily R.A. to the front and is inscribed to the title page. Baily was an eminent sculptor and is responsible for the statue of Nelson in Trafalgar Square.
