A COALPORT PORCELAIN URN AND COVER

19th century, the cream, blue and gilt highlighted body painted with a vignette of Chepstow Castle by J H Plant, rams head handles to the side, on moulded pedestal base, titled to the base, green crown mark and Stonier & Co mark, 41cm high

The finial is damaged and restored and there is some further evidence of restoration to the lid under blue light. There are hairline cracks visible to the inside. Some wear to the gilding and colour. Craquelure throughout. Wear concentrated around the foot rim.
