Based in Milan, ICF were one of the four original manufacturers who were granted a license by Herman Miller inc. to reproduce Charles Eames chairs.
ICF manufactured licensed originals until the 1st January 1986, when Vitra, based in Switzerland, were granted sole manufacturing rights for Europe and the Middle East.
From 1986 onwards, ICF continued to manufacture these chairs without a license, until they were forced to stop in 2004 by an Italian court ruling.
