17th/18th century, with tapering double-edged blade, etched along both sides of the forte with hounds pursuing quarry amidst swirling fruits and foliage, pommel cap of octagonal form with rounded flat button and grip of tapering octagonal section veneered in tortoiseshell divided by ivory stringing, 44cm blade
