In attractive country house condition. There is a large crack running from the top right hand corner of the panel (circa 5cm in from the right hand corner running to a point almost at the middle of the bottom edge of the panel).

Under a UV lamp there is significant retouching associated with this crack and a particularly large patch at the top of the ruff on the right hand side of the portrait.

Looking at the painting, the panel appears to have been extended on the right hand side (approximately 6cm measured horizontally). The frame is in reasonable condition with some losses to the gilding exposing the gesso surface beneath.
