In good country house condition. Inscribed by the artist on the reverse of the canvas and with various labels including one for Ven House. There appears to be no obvious repair or damage to the canvas and the frame is in good country house condition consistent with age, opening slightly along the joints in the top left corner and the lower right-hand corner. No signs of overpainting under UV.
