This lot is in good country house condition.

It is stable with surface scratches, marks and dents commensurate with age

The soft dressings are faded and torn in places, including the canopy area. The curtains and pelmets are torn in several sections and bleached by sunlight.

There are minor losses to the gilding throughout especially to the canopy of the bed.

There is evidence of old worming which has left the two bed posts attached to the headboard slightly brittle and with missing sections. This does not affect the stability.

The headboard and bed sides are likely to be later.

The bed 'mattress' has staining and discolouration to the ticking.
