with a padded back and seat, the arms carved with acanthus leaves and stylised flowerheads, the cabriole front legs with pad feet carved with stylised flowerheads from which emanate acanthus leaves, retaining fragments of the original needlework upholstery beneath later green cotton damask loose covers, 63cm wide x 93cm high

Provenance: Ven House, Milborne Port, and the frame with a label circa 1929 inscribed “Rose Bedroom, Ven House”.

In good country house condition with small scratches and surface marks commensurate with age.

There is evidence of old worming.

Beneath each foot are the drill holes/markings where the castors were once attached.

The original needlework is evident beneath the later damask loose covers and is degraded in condition.
