A GEORGE I WALNUT VENEERED TALLBOY

in well-figured timber with herringbone banding, the upper section with a moulded cornice over three short and three long graduated drawers flanked by fluted angles and the base with three graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, apparently retaining the original handles and escutcheons with pierced back plates, 103cm wide x 52cm deep x 181cm high

Provenance: According to family records this piece was purchased by Hubert Medlycott from furniture dealers Waltons of Mere, Wiltshire, circa 1906.

This is rich colour in country house condition with small scratches and surface marks commensurate with age.
