AN ENGLISH PORCELAIN PART TEA SERVICE

circa 1820, with chinoiserie decoration in polychrome and gilt with figures in landscapes, comprising a pair of dishes, a sugar bowl and cover, a cream jug, 12 cups and saucers and 4 small plates, the pair of sandwich plates 21.5cm diameter (a collection)

Overall in good country house condition with rubbed enamels/gilding, hairline cracks to most, and chips and fritting.

The two sandwich plates have fritting and hairline cracks. One has a large hairline crack from the lip extending to the central well. The second has a large crack which has been repaired and the glue has discoloured.

The majority of the teacups have faint hairline cracks and discolouration to the interiors from usage. One has a significant crack to the centre.

The pattern number appears to be '767' in underglaze red. Please see the additional images available on request.
