the petit point panel of figures in a landscape in a cartouche-shaped panel incorporating flowers, scrolling leaves and foliage, the plain frame with re-entrant upper corners and with four cabriole legs joined by a pierced central stretcher and ending in elongated pad feet, 75cm wide x 128cm high

This lot is in good country house condition.

The back is heavily stained and with significant tears.

The tapestry has a small hole above seated lady's shoulder which is the most noticeable and there are other minute ones only apparent under close scrutiny.

There is  general staining but this does not detract from the subject matter which is still quite vibrant including the blue eyes of the figures!

The wear is mostly located to the edges, especially the bottom one  


The wood frame is faded and discoloured commensurate with age and use.

There has been a repair to the stretcher on one side.

There is some old worming throughout and the feet are heavily stained and bleached
