There are tears to several areas, pulled threads and widespread staining.
It has been repaired in areas particularly to the edges.
One fragment has half the background removed and has been ‘stablised’ on its backing.
The larger fragment is heavily stained and has holes to the backing.
Please note the embroidered crewel is still vibrant in colour.
