Provenance: Inscribed “HH”, for Hubert Hutchings, “The Gift of the 3rd Duke of Leinster, 1873”, and formerly in the library of Lord Selsey at West Dean, Sussex.

These volumes all have cracked hinges to front boards, one of which appears to be repaired. 

Spines are bumped, volume 1 has part of the spine missing, bindings are all worn. 

All are slightly damp and foxed internally, a couple of the volumes have yellowed front and end fly leaves.

Set of four plates listed ‘for a Somerset person of quality’ are titled for a ‘Dorset person of quality’

Only one Greenwich hospital plate

Burlington house only four not five plates as listed

Longleat has three plates 

The last plate ‘Great Hall’ has bookworm damage
