This charming book has clearly been a working volume, bearing numerous pencil annotations internally and retaining a dried leaf!
The binding is period and intact but has a damaged front hinge and the top right corner of front board is dog eared. The back hinge is loose.
The front cover bears a bookplate and annotation to inside.
The front flyleaf is pasted with an unassociated engraving of John Evelyn.
Page 224 has a handwritten annotation clipped in.
The front and rear few pages are slightly stained with the middle pages generally in fair condition.
The errata page is damaged.
