Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

This is a remarkable set of four entree dishes and covers of super gauge and quality.

Lids and bases each bear matching numbers 1-4. Each lid and each base is hallmarked fully and with makers marks, whilst the silver handles bear lion passant and duty marks only.

Two of the slotted lid fixings have been repaired (see additional photos).

Handle 4 does not fit happily to lid 4.

Lids 1, 2 & 4 do not sit flush.

All bases are scratched and worn to interiors.

There is some wear to lids and some of the hallmarks are fairly worn but legible.
