A LOUIS XV SILVER GILT AND AVENTURINE SNUFF BOX

Paris 1744-50, with the charge and decharge of Antoine Leschaudel, of cartouche shape, the silver gilt mounts engraved with panels of wave ornament and naturalistic flowers, with shells and diaper work, 5.2cm wide

This box is scuffed, scratched and worn to the exterior, with wear to the aventurine panels top and bottom and gilding wear to silver edges. 


The base panel also has a small pin head chip. 

There is not apparent cracking to the silver mount and the hinge is tight.
