There are numerous amendments to the cupboard, including a later cornice, later fixings to the interior, later handles, hinges and escutcheons. There is an element of moulding missing to the base. The underside of the cupboard is damaged and require some restoration, the bottom left drawer is therefore lacking support.  There is general surface wear and minor damage commensurate with age and use, including some marks and scratches and wear around the feet. The central part of the frieze has a rectangular ghost mark of an earlier plaque and there is an inscription apparent. There is evidence of worm.
