The brooch is in overall good condition with no signs of heavy damage or heavy wear. The cameo itself is in very good condition with no signs of chips or heavy abrasions. The reverse of the cameo has some residual white marks from the host shell, no signs of damage. Secure in its setting. There is evidence of light glue residue to the border of the setting to the reverse. The enamel is in overall good condition. There are two small small chips to the blue enamel at the very bottom. There are light scratches to the gold throughout, commensurate with age.
